Project Narrative
After years of dreaming and after being a bridesmaid in dozens of weddings, when it came time to her own wedding, my friend knew exactly what she wanted. Her mood board was minimalist, romantic, and elegant. We both pulled some examples and then I got started developing her wedding brand. Beginning with fonts to set the mood of the event, then determining the layout.
I developed a cohesive wedding brand that included the save the dates, invitations, and beer labels for the home brew they served at their reception. I passed the branding off to the bride’s brother for him to pull through the signage and whatever else she needed.

Variety of Save the Date Concepts
I explored three different font combinations and five different layout options to get an initial idea of what the Bride and Groom were thinking. We narrowed down on one layout with a blend of the font options.

The Final Save the Dates
They couldn’t choose just one photo, so we worked with a vendor that allowed them to have both.
When it came to the invitations, I used a similar layout as the Save the Dates, subbing the photo in for their full names. The couple wanted a front and back invitation with wedding and reception details on the front and RSVP and other details on the back.

Beer Labels – Dev’s Cup of Joe
As part of their reception, they had a friend (from Platypus Brewing) brew a coffee pale ale that aligned to their hashtag: #DevsCupOfJoe.
I created the label. I pulled in elements from the brand but added the coffee cup for a bit more whimsy.
